Responsibilities:
|
|
Duties & Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Lead implementation of I&E reliability efforts and Electrical Safety Audit items
- Lead area Reliability and Process Improvement Teams
- Champion preventative maintenance of plant electrical equipment
- Provide daily I&E technical support for operations and maintenance supervision
- Provide troubleshooting support for I&E technicians and supervision
- Develop electrical safety standards and electrical work/switching procedures
- Assist in the implementation of I&E Maintenance skills training
- Provide technical interface between I&E and process engineering and project engineering
- Review and manage the implementation of I&E related Management of Change (MOC) orders
- Represent I/E department on HPP Process Safety Management (PSM) team
- Review and help implement Capital Projects working with Project Engineering in a team and customer relationship
- Support plant maintenance and manufacturing cost objectives and cost reduction efforts
- Establish shared MCH best practices and drive HPP I&E towards continuous improvement in higher technology
- Support global development of MCH standards and specifications
- Support global technology teams

Skills Required:
|
|
Education:
- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering required
- MS Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study preferred
- Six Sigma Green Belt required, ISA preferred
Level & Type of Knowledge/Experience:
- 10-15 years experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment
- 10-15 years experience in E&I Maintenance/Reliability Engineering
- Working knowledge of plant equipment and design, regulatory requirements, and PSM Mechanical Integrity
- Excellent understanding of manufacturing business objectives and principles
- Strong SAP and PC skills
- Ability to track and understand maintenance costs
- Ability to track and maintain engineering metrics
Technical Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards
- Strong working knowledge of plant electrical distribution systems and process control systems
- Ability to size, specify and apply all types of industrial process instrumentation and controls
- Create/review all types of I/E engineering documentation
- Six Sigma principles
