Responsibilities:  
  •  Develop and document global procurement strategies for strategic raw materials
  •  Develop detailed understanding of market drivers and dynamics for key strategic raw materials
  •  Optimize the total cost of ownership for strategic raw materials
  •   Minimize inventory levels of strategic raw materials through implementation of JIT, MRP, consignment and other similar type arrangements
  •  Maximize payment terms for strategic raw materials
  •  Foster competition by identifying new suitable sources of strategic raw materials
  •  Analyze logistics to identify cost-reduction opportunities
  •  Develop and maintain appropriate data base of key information
  •  Regularly participate in GP conference calls
  •  Maintain compliance with the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley by ensuring all procedures are in place and are followed
     
Skills Required:  

Education:

¨        B.S. Degree in Engineering or Science

¨        B.S. Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry and Preferred

¨        MBA Preferred

 

Level & Type of Knowledge/Experience:

¨        5+ years involving negotiations, contracts and procurement

¨        3+ years managing people

.
