Responsibilities:  

Principal Duties & Responsbilities (Essential Functions):

  • Provide daily I&E technical support for I&E Superintendent and Lead Mechanics.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for I&E Technicians and Lead Mechanics.
  • Develop electrical safety standards and electrical work/switching procedures.
  • Assist in the implementation of I&E reliability efforts and Electrical Safety Audit action items.
  • Assist in the implementation of I&E Maintenance skills training.
  • Manage department documentation and maintain current revisions.
  • Provide technical interface between I&E and process engineering, reliability engineering, etc.
  • Review and Manage the implementation of I&E-related Requests for Change (RFCs).
  • Review and help implement Capital Projects working with Project Engineering in a team and customer relationship.
  • Support plant maintenance and manufacturing cost objectives and cost reduction efforts.
  • Establish shared Millennium best practices and drive Ashtabula I&E towards continuous improvement in higher technology.
  • Support global development of Millennium standards and specifications.
  • Support global technology teams.
  • Some travel required, domestic and international.
     
Skills Required:  

Education:

  • B.S. degree or higher in Electrical Engineering preferred.

Level & Type of Knowledge/Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Engineering.
  • Working knowledge of plant equipment function and design, chemical processes, regulatory requirements (OSHA), and PSM Mechanical Integrity.
  • Maintenance of industrial power distribution systems.
  • Maintenance of industrial instrumentation.
  • Experience in PLC and Process Controls Systems maintenance and implementation a plus.
  • Must possess excellent problem-solving skills and have experience working in team environment.
