- Executive
- Finance
- Human Resources
- Information Technology
- Legal
- Production (Manufacturing/Maintenance)
- Purchasing
- Sales & Marketing
- Supply Chain (Logistics/Distribution)
Each family contains related jobs within the same discipline.
For example, administrative support staff, although found in just about every operation within the company, are ultimately all a part of the same job family: Administration.
Similarly, several specialties can be found in more than one job family. Engineers, for example, work in both the Engineering/Scientific job family, as well as the Production job family.
