JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia and HUNT VALLEY, MD, USA (Monday, June 30, 2008) – Cristal Global (Cristal) announced today that it will increase prices on all of its anatase and rutile TionaÒ and Cristal titanium dioxide (TiO2) products sold into all Middle East and Africa end-use markets by US $200 per metric ton effective August 1, 2008 or as contracts allow. This is in addition to the price increase previously announced on June 4, 2008.
These price increases are required to partially offset the unprecedented increases in raw material, energy and transportation costs which have severely impacted the profitability of our TiO2 business.
These increases are in addition to previously announced price increases.
