Cristal Global Announces TiO2 Raw Material Surcharges for the North America Paper Market

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and Hunt Valley, MD, USA (Thursday, June 12, 2008) – Cristal Global announced today that it will apply raw material surcharges on all of its anatase and rutile TionaÒ and Cristal titanium dioxide (TiO2) products sold into the North America paper market as follows, effective on July 1, 2008.

On Tiona RCS-P:  US $0.04 per pound

On Sulfate Anatase products:  US $0.09 per pound

These raw material surcharges are required to partially offset the unprecedented increases in raw material, energy and transportation costs which have severely impacted the profitability and sustainability of the TiO2 business.

These surcharges are separate and in addition to previously announced price increases in this market.
