Millennium Inorganic Chemicals is a leader in the implementation of Responsible Care®, including Product Stewardship. The purpose of Product Stewardship is to ensure that safety, health and environmental protection are an integral part of the design, manufacture, distribution, recycling and disposal of all Millennium Inorganic Chemicals products.
Implementing Product Stewardship affects nearly every functional area within Millennium Inorganic Chemicals, including:

- Regulatory Affairs
- Customer Service
- Business groups
In order to effectively manage Product Stewardship activities, some tasks are assigned to functional groups and holders of specific job titles within Millennium Inorganic Chemicals, while other tasks are performed by special teams or positions.
These special entities include the Millennium Inorganic Chemicals Product Stewardship Board (composed of certain upper-level management members, who are chosen and approved by the Millennium Inorganic Chemicals president, plus advisors from Legal and corporate Safety, Health, and Environment) and Business Unit Product Stewardship Implementation Teams (composed of a chairperson and representatives of functional groups within the each of the Millennium Inorganic Chemicals business units).
