Millennium Inorganic Chemicals is actively working towards reducing packaging waste. That is why we supply our products in up to three types of sacks:
Kraft paper
Water dispersible paper
Plastic
The water dispersible sacks are designed to be used in the Paper and Paper laminate industries. These sacks can be added at the beater stage. They will readily disperse removing any disposal issues and reducing dust levels.
The plastic sacks are only available for a few products. They are constructed from LDPE and are designed to be incorporated into the manufacture of Masterbatch for Plastics. As with the water dispersible sacks, there are no disposal problems and dusting is kept to a minimum.
All of our sacks are supplied either shrink or stretch wrapped on pallets.
The pallets contain up to 1,000kg/2,200lb net weight of titanium dioxide. They should be lifted via a forklift truck (or other suitable device) which has the capability to lift the pallet to the required height safely. They should be stored undercover in a dry location at ambient temperature and humidity. The pallets must be stored in a stable manner (preferably in a pyramidal style) and should not be stacked more than three pallets high. When discharging the sacks the operative should wear an appropriate dust mask to minimize the effect of airborne particles.
