Millennium Inorganic Chemicals will operate our company in ways that increasingly benefit society, the economy and the environment, as well as our stakeholders. We will make continuous progress toward the vision of no accidents, injuries or harm to the environment and will publicly report our global safety, health and environmental performance. We believe that injury to employees, adverse health effects and environmental accidents can be prevented and that every employee must be dedicated to their elimination.
In keeping with this policy we will:
- Make health, safety and environmental protection the direct responsibility of line management.
- Provide a workplace that fosters continuous improvement in health, safety and environmental performance.
- Require and enable every employee to work in a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible manner.
- Establish regular health, safety and environmental performance improvement goals; measure, audit and publicly communicate performance.
- Make safety, health, the environment and resource conservation critical components in all aspects of our business including the design, construction, maintenance and operation of our manufacturing plants and in the development, distribution, use and disposal of our current and future products.
- Communicate significant health, safety and environmental concerns to employees, neighbors, suppliers, distributors, customers and other involved stakeholders.
- Seek public input by establishing an ongoing dialog with those communities in which the company has manufacturing plants.
- Participate in the development of responsible laws, regulations, and standards that safeguard the community, the workplace, and the environment.
- Preserve natural resources and minimize waste through conservation and recovery practices.
- Meet or surpass all applicable laws, regulations and standards.
